How much is enough, part 2
Unlike web presentations, local presentations (presentations run from information stored in the playback unit such as an internal hard drive or cd-rom) are governed less by images size and compression levels and more by color depth and compression types. Depending on the playback system chosen, whether it be Director or Powerpoint or your own proprietary system, there will be differing requirements and limitations. One system may not decode jpeg images rapidly enough for smooth play back while another may not be able to handle the full color depth of a 32 bit image. Again, no two problems are the same.
